October is here, and with it comes the golden leaves, shorter days, and a gentle nudge to pause and check in with ourselves. This month, we’re shining a spotlight on World Mental Health Day (October 10th)—a powerful reminder that taking care of our minds is just as important as looking after our bodies.
Why Small Steps Matter:
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the “big picture” when it comes to mental health. But at Mojo School, we know that transformation happens through small, consistent actions. Whether it’s a two-minute breathing exercise, a mindful walk, or simply asking for help, every step counts.
World Mental Health Day is a global reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health. It’s a call to action for individuals, communities, and organisations to break the stigma, start conversations, and make support accessible to all. This year’s theme focuses on mental health as a universal human right—something we’re deeply committed to at Mojo School.
Autumn’s arrival can bring both comfort and challenge. For many, the darker evenings and colder weather can trigger feelings of low mood, fatigue, or isolation. But this season also invites us to slow down, nurture ourselves, and build new rituals for wellbeing.
Acknowledge the Shift
Notice how your energy and emotions change as the season turns. It’s natural to feel different—give yourself permission to adapt your routines.
Connect with Others
Isolation can creep in as the days get darker. Make a point to reach out—whether it’s a chat with a friend, joining a group, or attending an event.
Prioritise Rest and Nourishment
Embrace cosy evenings, nourishing foods, and gentle movement. Sometimes, slowing down is exactly what we need.
Access Support
If you’re struggling, know that help is available. We have a signposting section and some great resources within Mojo School - designed to offer practical, compassionate support, wherever you are on your journey.
